dhook: Your application of the scripture at 1 Corinthians is quite correct as far as it goes. Look at what Jesus stated at John 15:15. "But I have called you my friends, BECAUSE I HAVE MADE KNOWN TO YOU EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM MY FATHER." Where did He reveal all of that? It's all in the Bible isn't it? All you and I have to do is sit down and start turning those pages and we will learn if our hearts are right. If they are not we will learn nothing!
Anyone can gain a comrehensive knowledge of the Bible if he puts forthj the needed effort.

When the clean-up is finally done by the Messiah through the Angels it will be fair and just. No one at that time will be able to argue what He does.They will not be able to say it is a cruel practice. It wasn't in the 1st century as I showed in the article. But it is now because no one on this earth has been appointed to do it.The effect that it has now on various individuals is proof of that. The broken heart's the broken spirit's the broken marriages, the destruction of the family unit. On and on it goes.
He will not be looking at the outward appearance of any man.Isaiah 11: 3,4 tells how He will do it. "He shall not judge by the sight of His eye's neither decide by the hearing of His ear's; But with righteousness and justice shall He judge the poor and decide with fairness for the meek, the poor, and the down trodden of the earth" ...He imitates His Father Jehovah who told Samuel "Look not on his appearance,or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the LORD sees NOT AS MAN SEES; for man looks on the OUTWARD appearance, but the LORD LOOKS ON THE HEART." 1Samuel 16:7 When judging people today they can only view the outward appearance of things. None who have been judged by the Society or Elder arrangement have recived a fair and just hearing. Not one! That will all be straightened out in the finally. They will receive fair and just treatment. Do not believe for one moment that I think that wicked one's should be allowed to remain in the various congregations world-wide. I do not!
I do not believe though that it is any sinners, {and we are all that according to the Bible} position to remove them. To do so is pushing ahead presumptuously. What the Pope did or didn't do has no bearing on this discussion. None at all! When the time comes they will all answer for everything they did and failed to do, As will we all! -

I was discussing what was going on in the true christian congregation! Were any of the Pope's ever associated with the followers of Christ? What they did or didn't do has no relevevce in this discusion. The entire empire of Religion has been involved in some of the most viscious atroceties. I was not looking at what has been going on in those particular institutions. The fact that the Pope didn't disfellowship Hitler.The entire religious system at that time needed that! But was any sinful human in a position to do that? You and I both know that that is just so much EL-Torro Pottie, don't we? -

WAS DISFELLOWSHIPPING FOR CHRISTIANS TODAY?

In an effort to keep this as short as possible I am going to try and focus only a bare minimum of scriptures realizing that no one today appreciates too long a post.
In Luke 12:48 these words are found, in part: … “To whom much was given much will be demanded.” The 1st Century Christians were given the “Gifts of the Spirit.” Having these special gifts they were empowered to read the heart’s of individuals. This can be seen by reading Acts 5:1-12. THEY were told in 1 Corinthians 5:13 to “remove the wicked man from among themselves. Having that special ability they knew who the “wicked one’s were. So they could follow that direction. They practiced “righteous judgment” as commanded by Jesus. {John 7:24} We all know that those special gifts were done away with! {1 Corinthians 13:8-11}
Now if someone can stand up look me in the eye and tell me that he can read the heart, that he has that special ability, then by all means carry on with that practice. If he can also tell me that Jehovah has transferred power of judging to him and removed it from the messiah, and the Messiah has relinquished that power to him, then he is on solid ground.. If none of that has occurred, then he isn’t! {John 5:22,27; 7: 24}
IN the parable of the wheat and the weed’s which was a parable for those alive during the harvest season we read this about this matter of judging: …’do you want US to go and weed it out’ “NO, because when you weed out the darnel you might pull up the wheat with it. Let them both grow until the harvest; and at harvest time, I shall say to the reapers” … Who were the reapers? …”the reapers are angels” Jesus said. There was a danger that while collecting out the weeds they may have inadvertently collected out the wheat like one’s. That danger was there because they were unable to read the hearts at that particular time.. {Matthew 13:24-30,41} I wonder what part of “NO” they find so difficult to understand? Only the Messiah can read the heart now. Only HE HAS BEEN APPOINTED TO clean up the congregation’s world-wide. It is the work of no sinful man.
The Governing Body along with its world-wide Elder arrangement are in very serious trouble because the disfellowshipping with its practice of marking and shunning is not for today and even more is as unscriptural a practice to say the very least. As cruel a practice as you could get!

What if?- A sobering Thought!
by Bill Parker inhas anyone ever pondered over the two scripture's at matthew 25: 31, 32 and daniel 12:1?
the first tells us that the son of man is "sitting down" ... and that then a "separating" work begins.
then in daniel 12:1 it tells us that when michael "stands up" a great time of trouble ensues.. do you think it's possible he is not yet "standing up?

Pathofthorns:
That was a scripture that I meant to put on that post, but forgot. So rather than begin a new post for one scripture, I just put it on for you to look at, knowing that everyone else would probably see it there. It has been a busy day for me and I didn't really have any time to waste. Too much work to do. Bill -

Has anyone ever pondered over the two scripture's at Matthew 25: 31, 32 and Daniel 12:1? The first tells us that the Son of Man is "sitting down" ... and that then a "separating" work begins.
Then in Daniel 12:1 it tells us that when Michael "Stands up" a great time of trouble ensues.
Do you think it's possible He is not yet "standing up?" That the time of trouble made reference to here,has not yet begun? That the separating work still continues now?
Is it possible that right now we are all unknown to ourselves being judged worthy of either life or death based on our conduct actions and word's? Isn't it true that that day was to come as a "thief in the night", to take us all by surprise? At that time hasn't the judgment been going on and now completed?
Will any of us be able to say that we didn't know these things?
What if? A sobering thought isn't it? -

Ritchie:
Well, I did as directed. Look's like I owe you an apology. Sometimes I can be a real blockhead. I'm very sorry that I was so quick to jump. We can re-direct the scripture that I quoted to you, to the Watchtower Society. It fits much better there anyway.
As to all of the other comments on the board. I do not really feel that I am anyone at all. I certainly do not feel that I know all things. Using my Bible concordance and Bible I sit down and try to dig out the things that I have learned in the past.I try to present those things as accurately as I can when I have researched whatever subject. One of the reasons I came on to this board in the first place was to perhaps find someone with a lot of Bible knowledge. One who was willing to impart said knowledge to me.That would have been a great help to me.I f I have conveyed the idea that I think that I know it all. That was done inadvertantly. IN my own mind I am merely just scratching the surface. If I am wrong in anything that I say, wouldn't it be a kindness to me if someone sat down, followed the same scriptural procedure that I try to follow, and correct me using the Bible to do it? Everyone on this board has the right to their own opinions. They have the right to express those opinions. If I did not continue with what I am doing how will I ever gain accurate knowledge? As I go along I may make many mistakes. Hopefully those mistakes will be brought to my attention in a manner that will not insult or humiliate me but rather benefit me and build me up. Not tear me down. That's been done to all of us. We all know how that feels. Now we need more than anything to be built up and encouraged. There are just too many comments here for me to try to address. I hope what I have said is sufficient for all. You all will notice that I didn't attact you or try to insult you as I have been on this board. If I get a little "skittish" now and then, well don't we all? -

Someone has lived a "Trillion times longer" than I! Someone has a "Billion times more reasoning ability" than I!When I wrote my article I was following the direction of that one's word in the Bible. They were not my word's. They belonged to Jehovah God. Who has lived longer than Him? Who has more reasoning ability than Him?
Certainly not Ritchie, not you, not me, not anyone. I work to that end though! Maybe some day I will be like Him. I can only keep on trying. Isn't that what all of us are supposed to be doing? I mean if we profess to be Christian? -

Richie: Boy! You have to be one of the Active Elder's. They are the only one's I have ever heard come across like that! Perhaps you have not read Romans 2:1 yet. You were judging me and accusing me of many things. Listen to this: "Therefore YOU have no excuse or defense or justification, O man, whoever you are who judges and condemns another. For in posing as judge and passing sentence on another, you condemn yourself, because you who judge are habitually praticing THE VERY SAME THINGS." {that you censure and denounce}Have a nice day! If you can!
